Water Week Update: Big News for Caldwell!

The City of Caldwell is proud to share that we have been awarded $425,650 in funding from the Kansas Water Office to support technical assistance for Phase 2 of our water improvement project: strategic water main replacement. This is an exciting step forward as we continue improving the reliability and longevity of our community’s water infrastructure.

As part of this process, you may begin to notice small flags appearing in yards and along streets in the coming days. These flags are not a cause for concern—they are part of the engineering and planning phase of the project.

The flags mark the locations of underground utilities, including water lines and other services. This work is being completed in coordination with BG Consultants as they gather the necessary information to develop detailed engineering reports and project plans.

This technical work is a critical step that allows us to:

- Accurately map existing infrastructure

- Plan for future improvements

- Strengthen our applications for additional funding to support the construction phase of the project

We appreciate your patience as this important work takes place and your continued support as we invest in Caldwell’s future.

If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to City Hall.
