FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING, Oct 12 - 16

Public Works plans to flush fire hydrants starting the week of October 12, 2026. The process is expected to take a couple of weeks to complete.

During this time, customers may experience discolored water and low water pressure between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. Residents should avoid washing white clothing if they notice discolored water, as manganese staining is nearly impossible to remove.

Please note that schedule changes are possible if urgent issues arise. Additionally, while we do not anticipate any problems, there is a risk of hydrant failure. If a hydrant fails, we will need to hire a contractor to install an inserta-valve to facilitate the replacement of the hydrant.
