City and Art Brigade Awarded KCAIC Grant

Hot off the press - consider this your invitation to start designing your own turtle! The Caldwell Art Brigade and City of Caldwell were awarded a Public Arts & Murals Grant through KCAIC. This grant will allow CAB to commission the creation of 12 fiberglass turtles each of which will be painted and installed throughout Caldwell. We’re so excited to celebrate the arts and this reptilian piece of Caldwell’s history! Your submitted designs can range from a sketched 3D drawing, online creation, or use of a mini 3D turtle created by the Caldwell Public Library! Your designs are due by  Sept 30th and can be submitted to lsommerhoff@caldwellkansas.com, bkuehny@gmail.com or in person at City Hall! The designs will then be uploaded to Facebook and the 12 turtle designs with the most engagement will move forward to the painting process! The turtles have been ordered and will have a 6-8 creation window! Follow along for more information and updates!
